Partner Platforms

The SDC collaborates with a broad range of partners on climate, disaster, and environmental (C/D/E) initiatives. Many of these partners maintain their own learning platforms or information portals. Below is a selection of partner platforms that may be of interest to you.

Climate focus

UN CC:Learn – The one UN Climate Change Learning Partnership
UN CC:Learn helps countries to build the knowledge and skills they need to take action on climate change by providing guidance and quality learning resources.

weADAPT
weADAPT is a dynamic, collaborative space for knowledge exchange on climate change adaptation issues

Climate and Clean Air Coalition CCAC
The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is a voluntary partnership of over 190 governments, intergovernmental organizations, and non-governmental organizations, providing i.a. several assessments of (short-lived) climate pollutants.

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change IPCC
The IPCC is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change. It provides regular assessment reports as well as an interactive atlas.

DRR focus

Swiss NGO DRR Platform
The Swiss NGO DRR Platform is a network of NGO professionals dedicated to increase the resilience of women and men, communities and governments to all aspects of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)
The IFRC offers a wealth of learning opportunities and resources incl. the IFRC learning platform

Asian Disaster Preparedness Center ADPC academy
The ADPC Academy provides specialized disaster and climate resilience training for governments and international and non-governmental organizations.

The Anticipation Hub
The Anticipation Hub is a platform to facilitate knowledge exchange, learning, guidance, and advocacy around anticipatory action both virtually and in-person.

Partnership for Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction PEDRR
PEDRR is the clearinghouse for knowledge, training, advocacy and practice on Ecosystem-based Disaster Risk Reduction (Eco-DRR)

Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery GFDRR
GFDRR helps communities and countries reduce risk, prepare for, and recover from disasters by integrating disaster risk management and climate change adaptation into development strategies and programs.

United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction
UNDRR convenes partners and coordinates activities to create safer, more resilient communities.

Biodiversity / Ecosystems focus

Integrated Biodiversity Assessment Tool IBAT
The IBAT platform includes comprehensive biodiversity data to assess biodiversity risks and align with global frameworks to support nature-positive goals

UN Biodiversity Lab
The UN Biodiversity Lab (UNBL) supports country-led efforts to use spatial data and analytic tools to generate insight and impact for conservation and sustainable development.
